İHKİB Kağıthane Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi
Kağıthane IHKIB Ready-to-Wear Vocational High School Education Complex, which embodies all disciplines of ready-to-wear, started accepting students in September 2004. Located in Kağıthane, the building complex, situated on a total area of 6600m² with 8100m² of closed area, plans to educate a total of 2000 students annually, including 1500 in formal education and 500 in informal education. The departments established in this vast vocational education complex are as follows:
Ready-to-Wear Production Technologies:
Weaving Surface Confection Department, Circular Knitting Confection Department, Underwear Mold Department covers theoretical and practical training on the use of flat and special machines used in confection, the use of cutting machines, manual and computer-aided mold systems, as well as model and collection preparation.
Textile and Ready-to-Wear Industry Embroidery Department:
Theoretical and practical training covers the use of industrial embroidery machines, preparation of patterns on computer suitable for industrial embroidery machines, types of embroidery materials, and textile knowledge.
Piece Dyeing Department:
Theoretical and practical training covers textile knowledge, dye types and finishing processes, physical and chemical finishing processes, types of finishes, preparation of dye conditions in the laboratory environment, and piece dyeing machines and equipment.
Piece Printing Department:
Theoretical and practical training covers types and processes of printing, use of printing techniques in the laboratory environment, conversion of sample printing into production, and preparation of piece printing in the laboratory environment.
Textile and Ready-to-Wear Machinery Mechatronics Department:
Theoretical and practical training covers mechanical and electronic maintenance, repair, and diagnosis of textile and garment machines, as well as selection and use of spare parts and hand tools.
Material Quality Control Laboratory Department:
Theoretical and practical training covers knowledge and use of main and auxiliary materials in textile and ready-to-wear production, testing techniques and application, as well as selection and use of laboratory equipment according to test types.
LONG-TERM INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
There is an internship program where students are selected by conducting skills training in enterprises to potentially employ them in the future. The insurance premiums of the intern students are paid by the school.
ADULT EDUCATION
Courses, seminars, informative meetings, etc., organized to improve the professional qualifications of employees in textile and ready-to-wear enterprises, raise their knowledge and skills, and provide information support to the sector are organized for adults.
